This is the real thing. The red tube coming out of her neck and wrapping around her body is the ECMO

machine. This is what kept her alive. The tubes out of her chest are clearing the fluid from the chest

cavity, and the other tubes are a respirator, a million IV's, and who knows what else...

The yellow dressing on her chest is a biological dressing used to keep infection out of her still-open chest

cavity. You can see she is bloated from fluid retention. When this picture was taken, we still did not

know if she would live or not.
